IDEAYA Biosciences Announces Clinical Collaboration with Genentech for MTAP-Deleted, KRAS G12D-Mutant Pancreatic Cancer

Thursday, August 20, 2026

IDEAYA Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDYA) has entered into a clinical collaboration with Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, to evaluate IDE892 in combination with GDC-7035 (RG6620) in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) carrying both MTAP deletion and KRAS G12D mutations.

IDE892 is an investigational MTA-cooperative PRMT5 inhibitor being developed by IDEAYA, while GDC-7035 is Genentech’s investigational KRAS G12D inhibitor. Under the collaboration, Genentech will sponsor the clinical combination study and IDEAYA will provide IDE892.

The combination is intended to assess the safety and efficacy of targeting both molecular alterations in PDAC. MTAP deletions and KRAS G12D mutations are estimated to occur together in up to approximately 15% of PDAC patients. These patients currently have no approved targeted treatment options.

IDE892 is being evaluated in a Phase 1 dose-escalation and expansion study in patients with MTAP-deleted solid tumours. IDEAYA is also studying the drug in combination with its MAT2A inhibitor IDE397 and plans to evaluate it with additional targeted therapies, including other KRAS-directed treatments.

The collaboration adds GDC-7035 to IDEAYA’s pipeline of potential combination partners for IDE892 and expands the company’s clinical development strategy in MTAP-deleted and KRAS-mutant cancers.

IDEAYA and Genentech will retain commercial rights to their respective compounds, both as individual treatments and in combination therapies. The companies will jointly oversee the clinical supply collaboration.
