Eurofins CDMO Alphora Expands Kilolab and High-Potency Development and Manufacturing Capabilities

Friday, August 14, 2026

Eurofins CDMO Alphora has expanded its kilolab and high-potency active pharmaceutical ingredient (HPAPI) development and manufacturing capabilities at its Mississauga site.

The expanded laboratories cover 627 square feet and are designed to support process development, scale-up and manufacturing activities for both high-potency and non-high-potency programmes. The facilities include walk-in fume hoods that can accommodate glass reactors of up to 100 litres.

The flexible laboratory design allows specialised equipment, including isolators, glove boxes and lyophilisers, to be installed according to project requirements. This enables the site to support a wide range of development and manufacturing programmes.

The laboratories are also supported by a dedicated analytical laboratory and an adjacent GMP warehouse. Together, these facilities provide an integrated environment for development workflows, analytical support, material management and manufacturing preparation.

The expansion builds on Eurofins CDMO Alphora’s expertise in small-molecule development and manufacturing, including process research and development, analytical development, GMP manufacturing and commercialisation support. It strengthens the company’s ability to support increasingly complex and highly potent molecules throughout different stages of development.

The expanded capabilities also support the site’s integrated antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) offering, including the production of linkers and payloads for conjugation with monoclonal antibodies manufactured on site. This integrated approach is designed to reduce development timelines and supply chain complexity.

The additional capacity will help Eurofins CDMO Alphora meet growing demand for targeted therapies and next-generation medicines while providing flexible, integrated and science-driven development and manufacturing support.
