Charles River Laboratories and Autobahn Labs Join Forces to Expedite Academic Drug Discovery

Charles River Laboratories International, Inc. (NYSE: CRL) and Autobahn Labs, a virtual accelerator for academic biotech supported by Samsara BioCapital, have unveiled a strategic collaboration. Charles River will serve as the preferred research partner for Autobahn's growing portfolio of early-stage, preclinical therapeutics. The goal of this partnership is to expedite the conversion of innovative academic science into groundbreaking therapies across various disease areas.
Under the agreement, Charles River has invested in Autobahn Labs, joining a funding round led by Autobahn's founding investor, Samsara BioCapital. This investment will support Autobahn in expanding its partnerships with top academic institutions, advancing its preclinical programs, and exploring new therapeutic development opportunities. Additionally, Justin Bryans, Chief Scientific Officer of Discovery at Charles River, will join Autobahn's Board of Directors.
