BenchSci has entered a strategic partnership with Thermo Fisher Scientific to develop AI-powered tools aimed at improving experimental design and increasing R&D productivity in preclinical research and drug discovery.
The collaboration will use BenchSci’s ASCEND™ AI platform to create enterprise software solutions for scientific instruments, web-based literature search tools, and optimised reagent selection systems. These solutions are designed to help researchers interpret complex datasets, design experiments more effectively, review scientific publications, and improve the use of laboratory resources.
BenchSci’s technology combines a biomedical knowledge graph with advanced machine learning models to identify scientific evidence and biological insights. Through this partnership, Thermo Fisher’s global presence in laboratory equipment, consumables and services will be combined with BenchSci’s AI expertise to provide scientists with new digital capabilities.
The initiative is expected to enhance research efficiency, enabling scientists to model biological processes more accurately and accelerate the journey from discovery to approved medicines.
