Alloy Therapeutics partners with Pfizer in a long-term collaboration to develop a new antibody discovery platform.

Wednesday, February 12, 2025

Alloy Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focused on making advanced drug discovery technologies more accessible, has announced a new partnership with Pfizer. The collaboration aims to develop a platform that will improve Pfizer’s ability to identify effective antibodies for challenging targets that existing technologies struggle to address. As part of the agreement, Alloy will receive an initial payment from Pfizer and may earn additional payments based on progress from preclinical development to commercialisation.

Alloy’s ATX-Gx platform, widely used for fully humanised transgenic mice, supports antibody discovery across more than 170 partnerships. The company continues to reinvest in innovation, expanding its murine platforms with new strains, such as ATX-GL for a full human lambda repertoire and ATX-GKH for enhanced antigen-specific B-cell generation and IgG class switching.

Pfizer and Alloy have worked together on multiple antibody discovery projects, including the ATX-CLC platform, launched in 2023 through Alloy’s Antibody Discovery Services unit. This platform facilitates the development of bispecific antibodies by enabling the expression of common light chain antibodies with diverse heavy chains.

Alloy’s research team in Cambridge, UK, has developed advanced workflows for transgenic animal model generation, further strengthening its position in drug discovery. The company remains committed to innovation, working closely with industry partners to create technologies that streamline the drug discovery process.
